One movement from „Falstaff-Suite Nr. 1“ is entitled „The Boar’s-head tavern.“ This part can be performed independently. The battle of words between Prince Henry and John Falstaff were transfigured into a competition of boozing in the choreography by Heinz Spoerli and Jürgen Rose. With a continous ragtime played on a prepared piano out of tune („Wanzenklavier“) and on a bouteillophone the music refers to this scene.
Premiere 2017 conducted by Caspar Richter
