„Al Fresco“ describes a technique of painting a coat colors on fresh prepared lime. I imagine this has to happen with a certain rapidity. The painter and his assistants race against time because the colors cling on fresh lime only.

I am always pleased with the attitude „To the freshness!“ of the „Groupe des Six“ representing to grasp musical genres of the socalled light entertainment in their compositional practise. An exhausted esthetic got a transfusion.

Somewhere in the Toscana stands the church „San Biagio“. I liked to be there. One can sit in its shadow and the time goes by. Inside on the walls there are shadows of frescos like copies of copies of copies...

„Al Fresco“, composed in 1979 is a mood. A necessary one.
